‘We Rise As One’ Celebrates Peace and Unity at Grace Cathedral

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — In an age where divisions are intensifying and spiritual weariness is prevalent, a significant new event calls upon individuals from diverse backgrounds to reflect on what brings us together. “We Rise As One” serves as a full-day event aimed at transforming sorrow into appreciation, culminating in a celebration of our shared community! Participants are invited to engage in a transformative journey through music, wisdom, and uplifting experiences.
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, Grace Cathedral will transform into a haven for healing and inspiration. The highlight of the evening is the Unity in Community Peace Concert (8:00 to 10:00 pm PT), musically directed by the Emmy-winning composer Gary Malkin. This multicultural event will showcase singer/songwriters such as The Brothers Koren, Bob Sima, Amikaeyla Gaston, and additional artists to be announced. Esteemed global wisdom keepers participating include Bishop William Swing, Shakti Durga, Piper Dellums, Hope Fitzgerald, and Lisa Rafel. The concert will be broadcast live across the globe via Hubcast Media.
Earlier in the day, attendees are encouraged to participate in Graceful Passages: Rising Together from Grief to Gratitude (9:30 am to 4:30 pm PT), a transformative workshop (limited to 70 participants) led by Hope Fitzgerald and Gary Malkin. This immersive experience combines music, ceremony, meditation, and storytelling, providing a space for profound healing and renewal.
A Networking Gathering (6:00 to 7:30 pm PT) will provide an opportunity for peace advocates, nonprofit leaders, creatives, and change-makers to connect, collaborate, and foster momentum for unity-focused initiatives.

In a world characterized by increasing polarization, profound spiritual fatigue, and rising global conflicts, “We Rise As One” transcends the notion of a mere event. It serves as a living response to the inquiry: What collective actions can we undertake that we cannot achieve individually?
Co-produced by Pathways To Peace (the co-founders of the United Nations’ International Day of Peace) and the Global Wisdom Foundation, in collaboration with Grace Cathedral, and with generous support from the Spiritual Life Television Network and The Holomovement, this gathering represents a global call for unity.
