Intellicheck Partners with Dock Optimizer to Help Prevent Fraudulent Freight Pickups

Intellicheck, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDN), an industry-leading identity verification company delivering proprietary, on-demand digital and physical identity verification solutions, today announced a new partnership with Conmitto, Inc., the company behind Dock Optimizer, to help shippers and third-party logistics providers verify drivers before freight leaves the dock.

The partnership combines Intellicheck’s one-of-a-kind identity verification technology, which incorporates proprietary analysis of hidden security data in DMV-issued ID barcodes, with Dock Optimizer’s appointment scheduling, carrier coordination and driver check-in platform. The integration places the ID check inside the check-in process logistics teams already use, helping them identify fraudulent pickup attempts while keeping verification results tied to the carrier, driver and load.

“The paperwork for a pickup can look right even when the person collecting the freight is not who they claim to be,” said Bryan Lewis, CEO of Intellicheck. “Our partnership with Dock Optimizer brings identity verification to the critical exchange point where freight is handed off, without requiring a separate process for the dock team. It also provides shippers a way to apply their identity verification requirements at third-party facilities, extending the reach of our technology into logistics.”

During driver self check-in, Dock Optimizer displays a QR code that the driver scans with a phone before scanning the barcode on the back of their license. Intellicheck’s technology verifies the ID, and the result and license details are saved to the appointment. The verification is completed nearly instantaneously and no app download is required. The integration also supports verification at the gate and in Dock Optimizer’s Door Manager.

Shippers can apply ID requirements to their own appointments at third-party facilities that use Dock Optimizer, with verification running on the shipper’s own Intellicheck account. Results, license details and timestamps remain on the appointment record in Dock Optimizer for three years to support chain-of-custody documentation, security investigations and compliance reviews.

“A fictitious pickup looks like any other pickup until the freight is gone. Intellicheck can tell a real ID from a fake one, and Dock Optimizer builds that verification into the check-in the dock already runs, at the moment the load changes hands,” said Akash Agarwal, CEO of Conmitto, the company behind Dock Optimizer. “Shippers set the standard for their freight, and now that standard follows the load to every partner dock that runs Dock Optimizer.”
